With a nice day forecast and a bit of breeze I was at Levington by 9:30, with lighish winds I rigged big and enjoyed the sunshine sailing down to Felixstowe Docks a couple of times and trying to break 20 kts ! The best wind was to be found beating a little way up toward Pin Mill and sailing broad back. Aftert about an hour I got chilly and went back to the van for a snack and to warm up making 20 kts for the first time :) After a short break I headed out again to try for a 20 kt ave. which I got, with the west wind and a in coming tide the river really chopped up !!! I then got a call to say we had free tickets :) to watch Ipswich play Brighten with my son Rob back home after several months travelling !! remind me never to go again as football is rubbish - so'ooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring and Ipswich are bad !!! but when we got home we had a great night playing cards with a big group of family and friends :) so a nice session to start 2013 :)
